Terms of Service

By using Car Logs (“the app”), published by Dhondooo, you agree to these terms.
What the app does
Car Logs is a record-keeping tool. You enter your own vehicles, services, fuel fill-ups and expenses, and the app organises them, works out figures like fuel efficiency and running cost, and reminds you when a service is coming up.
It is not a garage, a mechanic or a diagnostic tool. It does not connect to your vehicle, read fault codes, or inspect anything. Everything it shows is derived from what you typed in.
Maintenance reminders are estimates, not advice
Service reminders are calculated from simple distance and time intervals — either the defaults in the app or the ones you set yourself. They take no account of how or where you drive, the condition of your vehicle, or what its manufacturer actually specifies.
- Always follow your manufacturer’s service schedule and your mechanic’s advice. Where they differ from the app, they are right and the app is wrong.
- A reminder that has not appeared does not mean a service is not due.
- Never rely on the app for anything affecting the safety or roadworthiness of a vehicle.
Do not rely on a notification arriving. If you allow them, the app schedules reminders on your device. A notification can still be missed, delayed, silenced, dismissed, or never scheduled at all — and services tracked by distance rather than by date cannot be scheduled in advance, because the date you will reach a mileage is unknown. Those appear only inside the app. Car Logs should not be your only prompt to get a vehicle serviced.
Figures such as oil life and fuel efficiency are estimates for your own reference. They are only as accurate as the readings you enter.
Your data is your responsibility
Your records are stored on your device and nowhere else. We hold no copy and cannot recover anything for you.
- If you lose, reset or replace your phone, or uninstall the app, your records go with it.
- Use the backup export in Settings regularly if the history matters to you — for example if you plan to show it to a buyer.
- We are not responsible for data lost for any reason.
Currency and units
Amounts are stored exactly as you enter them. Changing the currency setting changes the symbol shown, not the value — the app is offline and does not convert between currencies. Distance, volume and efficiency units do convert.
Content ownership
The records you create are yours. We claim no rights over them and have no access to them.
The app itself — its design, code and arrangement — belongs to Dhondooo. Vehicle makes, models and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used only so you can label your own records.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- decompile, reverse engineer or redistribute the app
- use it for anything unlawful
- use it to falsify a vehicle’s service history or misrepresent a vehicle to a buyer
Availability
The app is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or discontinue features at any time. Because the app works offline, an update or an outage on our side does not stop you reaching records already on your device.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Dhondooo is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — including lost records, a missed or mistimed service, vehicle damage, or any decision you make on the basis of a figure the app displayed.
Nothing here limits rights you have under Pakistani consumer law that cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
